You did say, 'in the right windows directory' so perhaps you've already got this considered and covered.Įlse, you'll need the cd command and I've already given you a link for more info on how to work that. If it isn't, it isn't going to find it, and you will get an error saying so. Is the batch file with this line in it in the same dir as medieval2.exe ? The first line is: medieval2.exe -io.file_first If you have a batch file that isn't doing what you expect, stepping through it one line at a time can be an eye opening experience. Therefore, the best thing to do is to do just that - type the commands, one line at a time, at the command line. Think of it this way - your batch file is going to do exactly the same thing as if you were sitting there at the command line typing exactly what you have in the batch file.
I'm guessing that medieval2.exe is the actual game maybe? after that, I have no idea what that command line switch does. Seriously, without knowing what medieval2.exe -io.file_firstĭoes, I can't really answer. This is the directory that I expected to find the two files to be deleted.ĭirectory of C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total WarĬ:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War>cd data1.cabĬ:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War>
